PSHE & RSE Information
Parental engagement with statutory relationships, sex and health education
What you need to know:
Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education (HE) are statutory subjects as specified by the Department for Education (DfE).
When the DfE released these guidelines, by law we were required to consult with parents and key stakeholders over the content of our policy prior to the Governors approving it for implementation.
During the consultation period copies of key documentation such as a draft policy, the DfE Guidance, and examples of lesson themes and topic areas were shared online. Some lesson plans/mid-term plans from KS 3 and KS 4 were also made available for you to view.
At the same time Parents / Carers were invited to complete a Questionnaire and we are thankful to those families who took the time to do this.
See our curriculum overviews for more detailed termly information.
Please find below a copy of our RSE Policy and the DfE Guidance on RSE and HE for schools.
